There are some environmental grant schemes in Wales, which are run in partnership with the Welsh Government including:
Environment Wales
A WG funded voluntary sector partnership aimed at improving sustainable development through supporting and encouraging voluntary action in the environment.
Training grants and pre-project grants available for studies/surveys.
Sustainable Development Fund (SDF)
A fund to develop and test ways of living more sustainably in the countryside of which research is an element. Administered by the National Parks (NPs) and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs). NPs and AONB SDFs in Wales: Snowdonia National NPA SDF (CAE), Brecon Beacons NPA SDF, Pembrokeshire Coast NPA SDF, Llyn AONB SDF, Gower AONB SDF, Wye Valley AONB SDF, Anglesey AONB SDF, Clwydian Range AONB SDF.
Targeted Match Fund (TMF)
A pot of last resort central match-funding for the European Structural Fund Programme.
Countryside Council for Wales
CCW’s grant aid seeks to support organisations in Wales in a broad range of activities from gaining knowledge about biodiversity to delivering a healthy natural environment and from ensuring that people have the opportunities to enjoy the outdoor world to sustainable economic development.

Centre for Welsh Medium Higher Education - Postgraduate Scholarship scheme
Scholarship holders receive funding for up to 5 years; includes doctoral research and has a teaching fellow scheme.

Reconfiguration and Collaboration Fund
To support mergers, clusters, networks of excellence and rationalisation of provision between institutions.

Sustain Wales/Cynnal Cymru
Sustainable Living Grants Scheme
The Support for Sustainable Living grants scheme is a newly commissioned grant scheme funded by the Welsh Government which will be delivered by Environment Wales in partnership with Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales.
